Meghan Markle’s Ex-Husband Creates Show Inspired By Her Romance With Prince Harry

Meghan Markle’s estranged husband, Trevor Engelson gets creative in his new TV show.

Engelson is creating a fictional TV show for Fox that is inspired by his story with Markle who is now dating Prince Harry. The TV show tells the story of a divorced woman who remarries a prince and shares custody of her child with her estranged husband, Us Weekly reported.

“Divorce is hard. Sharing custody is harder. Sharing custody with the British Royal family when your wife marries a prince, in the unforgiving spotlight of London’s tabloid media, is next level,” the synopsis reads.

Deadline noted that the show is comedy and fictional. The lead characters do not necessarily base on Markle or Engelson despite the similarities in the stories. Also, the “Suits” star is not involved in the development of the project.

The upcoming TV show is originated from Engelson and fellow producer Dan Farah’s conversation when they wondered what if the former has kids with Markle on their two-year marriage and has to share custody with the British Royal family. Markle’s romance with Prince Harry is heating up and their engagement and wedding are expected to happen soon.

The pair loved the idea of making a TV series out of it. They already pitched the story to the 20th TV. “Modern Family” executive producer Danny Zucker is set to write the scribe while British TV director Christine Gernon is tapped to helm the series.

Engelson has two series on the air that he executive produces “Snowfall” at FX which has been renewed for a second season and the upcoming dramedy “Heathers” in Paramount Network. He is currently producing Netflix’s “Time After Party.” Meanwhile, Farah’s TV series credits include “Famous In Love” and “The Shannara Chronicles.”

While Engelson is venturing on a new show, Markle is reportedly leaving the TV show when she gets married to Prince Harry.  In fact, many believe that the “Horrible” actress is leaving her hit series on USA Network.

“No one gets the impression she’s staying on the show much longer,” an insider said. “They believe she’s going to marry Harry.”

Also, there are a lot of signs indicating that Markle is moving to London for good. For instance, her brands of clothing have taken a sharp turn towards British brands. In addition to this, just recently, the “Suits” star has canceled her VIP Audi North America rental car contract because she “will be spending more time in the UK” starting November, one source said, Elle reported.
