Deepika Padukone on #MeToo movement

The #MeToo movement had rocked the headlines in India and the accused were asked to leave their jobs immediately. And in a recent interview, Deepika Padukone was asked about the movement and narrate her experiences.
Deepika questioned back and said why aren’t sports personalities being asked the same question. The ‘Padmaavat‘ actress said that she doesn’t see anyone asking some cricketers about the #MeToo movement. But every actor is being asked about it. She stated that it’s not something which is happening only in the film industry.
The actress further added that she is not in a place to say if she would expose herself to a forum. She said why to subject such things only to an actor.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Deepika will be next seen in Meghna Gulzar‘s ‘Chhapaak’. It will release in January 2020.
The actress will also feature in Kabir Khan‘s sports drama ’83’ with Ranveer Singh and Luv Ranjan‘s film with Ranbir Kapoor.
