Big moves for two CNN anchors.
Chris Cuomo will shift to evenings in the spring to host “Cuomo Prime Time” at 9 weeknights, the cable news network announced Wednesday. The new series will follow “AC360.” A second hour of that program with Anderson Cooper currently airs at 9.
John Berman will take Cuomo’s spot opposite Alisyn Camerota on “New Day.” That program airs from 6 to 9 a.m. weekdays.
CNN presented “Cuomo Prime Time” as a special during January. The new series will feature the latest news, analysis of the latest headlines and Cuomo’s interviews, CNN said. He has a very forceful style in talking with guests — just look at his interviews with Kellyanne Conway.
Berman is the co-anchor of “CNN Newsroom” with Poppy Harlow at 9 a.m. weekdays. But he has demonstrated his skill in filling in at many hours for the cable news network.
Before joining CNN, Berman and Cuomo both worked at ABC News.
