NEW DELHI: Team India produced a dominant show to crush South Africa by an innings and 202 runs in the third and final Test at JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi on Tuesday. With this win, Virat Kohli‘s men have clinched the three-match series 3-0 against a hapless South Africa and consolidated their position on the top of the ICC World Test Championship table.
India needed two wickets on Day 4 to register a 3-0 series sweep and they wrapped up the game in just two overs. Indian spinner Shahbaz Nadeem dismissed Theunis De Bruyn (30) and Lungi Ngidi (0) to help India register a resounding series win.

Replying to India’s 497 for 9 declared in the first innings, South Africa were all out for 162 in their first innings, conceding a massive first-innings lead of 335 runs.
In the second innings, South Africa were bundled out for a paltry 133 after being asked to follow on.

The last time South Africa lost two or more consecutive Tests in a series by an innings margin was against Australia at home in 1935-36.
Kohli surpassed Mohammad Azharuddin as the Indian captain to have enforced follow-on most number of times after he asked South Africa to bat again on Day 3.
Kohli has now enforced follow-on eight times, while Azharuddin did it on seven occasions followed by Mahendra Singh Dhoni (5) and Sourav Ganguly (4).
