Up until this weekend, the College Football Playoff debate had been largely nonexistent. The rankings in the top remained unchanged for weeks.
And then rivalry week happened.
Washington State lost. Michigan lost. LSU lost.
After the last whistle sounded on Saturday, the fourth spot in the playoff picture is anything but settled.
Ohio State’s 62-39 win vs. Michigan on Saturday threw a wrench in the status quo and set up the big debate for the next week: OSU or Oklahoma?
Andy Staples of Sports Illustrated dove deep into the discussion about who could get the final spot and the debate between the Buckeyes and Sooners.
